Achievements:
Created the “Historic First” in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi, 1995: The school made history by presenting a wheelchair dance performed by an inclusive group on an elevator during the Republic Day parade.
Hosted the 6th Abilympics in New Delhi, 1995: India hosted the 6th Abilympics, inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister, with the Honourable President of India hosting an event at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The 7-day event was attended by 21 ministers.
Founder appointed as Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities: The founder and managing secretary of the school was the first non-bureaucrat to be appointed as Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, serving from 2001 to 2005. She promoted inclusive education, accessibility, and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
Organized 5th International Conference on Inclusive Education, 2018: The Amar Jyoti Rehabilitation and Research Centre organized the 5th International Conference on Inclusive Education.
Community-Based Rehabilitation in Delhi and Gwalior: Conducted Community-Based Rehabilitation in 30 urban slums of Delhi and 20 villages in Gwalior.
Organized Five National Inclusive Sports Meets: Organized five National Inclusive Sports Meets with a large number of participants from different states.
Organized “Lifeline Express Camps”: Organized “Lifeline Express Camps” in Ruthiai village in March 1995 and in Dabra in 1996 in collaboration with Impact India Foundation and Rajeev Gandhi Foundation, providing medical care to over 7000 patients from remote areas in each camp.

1987: Hong Kong Foundation Award for outstanding and innovative services.
1991: National Award for rendering rehabilitative services to persons with disabilities.
1998: United Nations ESCAP Award for pioneering achievement.
1999: The Helen Keller Award.
2001: ‘A’ Grade performance rating from the Rehabilitation Council of India for ensuring sustainable work to improve the quality of life of persons with locomotor disabilities.
2004: “Samaj Seva Pravina” Upadhi from Shri Shri Shri Ganpati Sachchidanand Swami, Jagadguru, Shri Avdhoot Datta Pitham, Mysore.
2005: National Award for creating a barrier-free environment for persons with disabilities.
2008: Appreciation Plaque from Mr. Sang-Chol Lee, President of Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.
2010: Lifetime achievement award for inclusion from Rehabilitation International during the Assembly in Incheon in Korea.
2010: Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa) Award by Roehampton University, London.
2011: Lakshmipat Singhania – IIM Lucknow National Leadership Award 2010.
2011: National Women Excellence Award.
2011: Padma Shri to Dr. SP Mandal, our President.
2012: M Aruna Dalmia, our Vice President received Maharana National Award for social service.
2012: Padma Shri to Dr. Uma Tuli for Social Work.
2012: Rehabilitation International also awarded the Presidential Plaque for Exemplary Services in October 2012 to Dr. Uma Tuli.
2013: “Mother of Inclusive Education” award by Mr. A Parsuramen, Founder & President, Global Rainbow Foundation, Mauritius as recognition of her pioneering work in the field of Inclusive education.
2013: Kelvinator Gr8!Women Awards 2013 for Education.
2015: APJ Abdul Kalam Award-2015 by UthanSamiti to Dr. Uma Tuli.
2016: Dr. Uma Tuli received ‘Sarthak Lifetime Achievement Award’.
2017: Indo-Nepal Samrasta Award by Antarrashtriya Samrasta Manch to Dr. Uma Tuli.
2018: Lion Subhash Lakhotia Service Award to Amar Jyoti.
2018: “Saanjhi Saanjh” Honoured Dr. Uma Tuli as Distinguished Senior Women for Contribution to society.
2018: Power Brands Bharatiya Manavata Vikas Puraskar by Daily Indian Media.
2018: Dr. Uma Tuli was awarded by Rehabilitation International in Macau conference for outstanding services in the field of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
2019: Nipman Foundation & Microsoft Equal Opportunity Award for Inclusive School.
2019: Sulakshana Ramjanam Pandey Award in recognition of Outstanding Services center is offering to the persons with disabilities by NASEOH, India.
2019: Award by the Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of Delhi for the best organization generating employment for persons with disabilities.
2021: National Award for Outstanding performance as Divyangajanon Ke Sashatikaran Hetu Sarvshrestha Sansthan
2023: Excellence in Inclusivity Award of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO)
2023: Rehabilitation International Centennial Award for Significant Contributions
2023: Divyangjan Swabhiman Samman Delhi 2023 for Significant contribution to the disability community
2024: Distinguished Services Award by Rotary Club of Delhi
