Accessible Play Ground sponsored by The Hans Foundation
Play is the key to physical, mental, intellectual and social well being of children. It impacts hugely on almost every developmental aspect of children’s lives holistically and in multifaceted ways. Young children spend a reasonable amount of time in school. Besides, for many children, school play time is the most active part of their day. When one thinks of an accessible playground, first thought is the benefit for children with special needs. Giving these kids the chance to interact with their peers and share a common experience can be utterly life-changing for them. Inclusive play enables special-needs children to build the necessary social skills. This helps in building positive attitudes and interaction between all children regardless of abilities. With the support of The Hans Foundation, Amar Jyoti School & Rehabilitation center has established an accessible playground keeping these four things in mind;-
- Inclusion
- Accessibility
- Socialization
- Fun for all
Playground is fully accessible and has a path way including 2 seater Merry Go Round, Wheelchair swing, Multi seater swing, Cast iron Bench, Garden Bench, Play panels. We are grateful to the Hans Foundation for sponsoring this facility.
